How much does lacrosse cost?
The club fee is $200 High School $40 Youth, plus a $35 USA Lacrosse membership fee (required for insurance and league play).
Why do I have to be a USA Lacrosse member to join the Cody Warriors?
A USA Lacrosse membership is required for all players to ensure proper insurance coverage, player safety standards, and league eligibility.
Your membership provides:
-
Insurance coverage during practices and games
-
Access to safety rules and national standards
-
Eligibility to participate in league-sanctioned competitions
The annual USA Lacrosse fee is $35 and must be completed before participation.
Is there a fundraising requirement?
Yes. The Cody Warriors Lacrosse Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a non–school-sanctioned sport, meaning we do not receive school funding.
Our program survives through donations, sponsorships, and fundraising efforts. Players and families are expected to participate in fundraising opportunities when they are offered. These efforts help cover league fees, field rentals, equipment, officials, travel costs, and keep the program accessible for our community.
Is lacrosse dangerous?
Lacrosse is a contact sport, so there is always some risk—just like football, hockey, or soccer. Proper protective equipment, rules, and trained coaching help reduce injuries, but no sport is completely risk-free. Player safety is always a priority.
When does the season run?
Lacrosse is a spring sport.
What league do you play in?
The Cody Warriors compete in the Montana Lacrosse League, providing structured, competitive play.
